Timberland Country Club

Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed a golf course for a group of investors and in 1959 Timberlane Country Club in New Orleans was born, as the first private golf club on the west bank of the Mississppi River. Since then, the course designed by Mr. Jones was ranked as one of the most difficult courses in the country. The club has bore witness to the oil boom of the 1980s, the internet bubble of the 1990s and more recently the events of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The oaks planted back in 1959 are now very large and while some of them are gone, our members remain and continue to enjoy the amenities the club has to offer.  Why not make Timberlane your home for New Orleans golf?

Along with the wonderful par 72 golf course are several tennis courts, a large olymipic size swimming pool and great dining. There are social groups, such as the Les Dames for the ladies, and family days throughout the year, including visits by the Easter Bunny and Kris Kringle.

Located just minutes from downtown New Orleans, Timberlane Country Club has offered unmatched golf, a wonderful family atmosphere and traditional amenities to our members and guests for over 50 years, and we look forward to the next 50 years as well.

Timberlane Country Club, the best place for New Orleans Golf.
